Our sustainability approach
Sustainability is central to how we create long-term value, by delivering high quality homes and thriving communities that benefit people and nature. We focus on the areas where we can make the greatest difference, guided by regular stakeholder engagement, and with long-term sustainability built into decision-making. As expectations rise and regulation evolves, we are committed to supporting a just transition to a low carbon, nature positive economy. Strong governance helps embed sustainability across our business, driving resilience and responsible growth.

Sustainability governance overview
Strong governance is essential to driving sustainability performance and accountability across our business. Oversight of our sustainability strategy and objectives sits with the Board, supported by our Sustainability Committee, which is chaired by our Chief Executive Officer. The committee meets quarterly and guides the evolution and integration of our strategy across the Group. Our commitment is reinforced by linking executive remuneration and our Revolving Credit Facility to key sustainability targets.

Stakeholder engagement
Recognising the dynamic nature of environmental and social challenges, we are committed to regularly engaging with stakeholders to ensure we focus on the most important sustainability-related issues. These discussions help us identify and address areas where we have an impact, or are impacted, so we can remain responsive to emerging risks and opportunities. Our engagement activity, summarised in our Annual Report 2024, ensures our strategy remains aligned with stakeholder priorities and expectations.
