Westwood Park

Westwood Park, south of Coventry, is an example of one of many attractive new communities that Crest Nicholson has been successful in getting allocated and planning permission for through a successful promotion strategy.

  • Green Belt site, successfully promoted through the Warwick Local Plan and allocated for development quickly following the land agreement.

  • 425 new homes, between Burton Green and the University of Warwick in a lovely location and setting.

  • Cross-boundary working, delivered in Warwick District adjacent to Coventry and including Warwickshire County Council; it accommodates an unmet need and straddles the boundary between the two.

  • An early pilot site delivering biodiversity net gain in Warwick ahead of the biodiversity net gain requirements in national policy.

Planning permission for Westwood Park focused on turning constraints into opportunities, such as the creation of gateway green space to accommodate utility corridors, providing biodiversity offsetting land in an area important to the neighbouring community as separation and in responding to heritage assets nearby.
